Do I need to complete training before starting, or can I get started right away?

The career change programme at properti is offered through our Career Starter Course. Over a period of eight weeks, you will receive targeted preparation for a successful start as a real estate agent – with practical sales training on attendance days, online training courses and extensive self-study on our learning platform.

These properti training courses, Insights training and all other training courses are completely free of charge for you. The Career Starter course is followed by an intensive onboarding phase, during which you will be introduced to practical work step by step over several months. In total, we invest over 300 hours in your training and development – from workshops and live training sessions to support appointments and personal coaching.

You have the opportunity to proactively participate in additional workshops, training courses and coaching sessions at any time. Continuous training and development is a central component of our agent-centric business model – we invest in people so that they can achieve lasting success.

What requirements do I need to meet to start as a Career Starter at properti?

Not everyone can join properti – we are exclusively looking for ambitious individuals who want to make a difference. Our goal is clear: we don’t train average profiles, we develop the next generation of successful estate agents.

The basis is completed training in the commercial sector or recognised further education (HF, FH, university). Alternatively, many years of proven successful sales experience with relevant further training counts. Initial further training in the real estate sector – e.g. Swiss Federal Diploma in Real Estate Management. Professional certificate, SAQ, REM NDS, CAS or MAS – recommended but not essential. Certificates from personality analysis and development (e.g. Insights® Discovery, Structogram®, BIP®, HPI®) also support your entry and are positively considered in the selection process. We will help you specifically with creating all missing content. A valid driving licence (category B) and, ideally, your own vehicle are also required. In addition, we expect a clean criminal record and debt collection extract. Trust, integrity and reliability are essential in our profession.
Attitude and mentality are crucial: strong communication skills, openness, willingness to learn, perseverance, sales talent and a genuine interest in people. We are not looking for theorists, but for driven doers who are willing to give more than others.

As we only accept a limited number of career starters each year, carefully selecting the right personalities is crucial. The selection process usually involves three interviews to assess motivation, potential and cultural fit. Admission sur dossier is only possible in exceptional cases and for candidates with above-average potential.

Is there mentoring and coaching for career changers?

Yes. Each new agent is supported by an experienced mentor – personally, closely and practically: in weekly or fortnightly one-to-one meetings, during viewings, lead appointments or telephone exchanges. Our goal: to guide you to success in a structured, measurable and practical way.

Our Learning & Development team comprises two specialist trainers and over twelve coaches. You will benefit from more than 600 learning lessons per year, workshops, internal and external training courses, and regular knowledge transfers. Learning, challenging and encouraging are at the heart of our culture.

How quickly can I obtain my first degree?

That depends primarily on your own initiative. With discipline, a willingness to learn and consistent implementation of the training content, it is often possible to achieve your first qualifications within three to five weeks.

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end: we’ll support you with acquisition tools, qualified leads, a structured 12-month onboarding plan and personal mentoring. Our Agent Portal also provides you with modern tools for customer acquisition, market analysis and automated social media activities – so you can focus fully on customer acquisition and your customers.

What career and development opportunities does properti offer?

At properti life, you shape your own career – full-time or part-time. Our model is transparent, objective and performance-oriented: you determine the pace, direction and goal.

You can specialise in consulting and sales, grow into a leadership role or achieve partner status in the long term – either as a top consultant or as a manager. Performance, quality and commitment determine progress, not age or years of service. We create the platform, you define the path.

Can I start the programme alongside my current job?

Yes, that is expressly provided for. At properti, you will usually start with around 20% of your current job. This phase allows you to secure your financial situation, learn the trade systematically and gradually familiarise yourself with your main job as a real estate agent.

What does the remuneration model look like? Is there a fixed salary or only commission?

At properti, performance is key. Those who deliver earn above-average salaries. Our remuneration model combines unlimited commissions with splits of between 18% and 26% and 50% per transaction, as well as performance bonuses.

To give you stability in the initial phase, we offer a salary guarantee of CHF 500 per month for career changers – no advance payment, no repayment obligation. Full-time estate agents are guaranteed CHF 4,200 so that you can plan for quieter periods or holidays without worrying about your income. On average, properti estate agents manage 4.4 times more active properties and achieve 3.6 times more transactions than traditional estate agents.

Our principle: security to get started – performance to scale up. The more successful you are, the more you earn. Your output determines your income.

What about expenses as a real estate agent?

We provide tablets, mobile phones, software licences and office workspaces. You will also have access to our fleet of vehicles if you need to attend viewings or customer appointments. Our focus is on making you productive.

What technical tools are available to me?

As a next-gen brokerage, we are firmly committed to technology. Our AI-powered agent portal, including a marketing suite and digital templates, helps you massively increase your productivity and efficiency. Through automation and data support, our brokers achieve on average 3.4 times more transactions than traditional brokers.

What does a typical working day look like – how much freedom do I have?

At properti, you are not a traditional employee, but an entrepreneur within the company – our motto is: from agents to entrepreneurs. You work independently, plan your time flexibly and decide on your personal goals. At the same time, we offer you structure, standards and support to help you achieve your goals efficiently. We believe in empowerment – freedom with responsibility.

Do I work alone or in a team?

You work independently, but you are part of a high-performing community. properti stands for a high-performance culture in which mutual exchange, support and continuous learning are a matter of course. We promote cooperation, not competition.

Non-competition clause in brokerage work?

Unlike many traditional estate agencies, properti does not apply any non-competition clauses. We rely on trust and responsibility rather than restrictions. Our goal is to support you – not to limit you; even beyond your time with us.

However, what is strictly prohibited is the poaching of customers. Those who work with customers build trust – and that trust remains protected. Integrity, loyalty and fair play are non-negotiable at properti.

How much time is required in the initial phase?

Expect to work 15–20 hours per week. Initially, you will invest more time in training, learning modules and customer acquisition. Once you are actively managing properties and have interested parties, viewings and closing negotiations will be added to your workload. Continuity is crucial – daily commitment leads to faster success.

How does onboarding work in practice?

Onboarding at properti takes around 12 months and is divided into clear milestones, each of which triggers the next phase of your progress. This allows you to complete the programme step by step at your own pace – with structure, transparency and personal support.

Onboarding includes guidance, mentoring phases, follow-up appointments, target discussions and regular reviews in which you reflect on your progress together with your mentor. We operate according to the principle of servant leadership – our job is to create the best conditions for you to succeed. After completing onboarding, you will deepen your skills in specialised training courses on real estate marketing, sales and customer management – for the next step in your development.
